Patent-Pending Dual Master Cylinder Pedal Assembly with Remote Bias Adjuster
QTM Bias Valve:
Revolutionary Patent-Pending design functions differently than any master cylinder assembly available.
QTM Bias Valve links Front and Rear master cylinders.
STAGE 1 0 - 49 psi - System is open loop. Fluid flows evenly from both master cylinders to all calipers.
Cross Section of Bias Valve Shown in Open Position. Fluid flowing freely between front and rear calipers.
STAGE 2 50 psi The pressure-sensitive valve closes, isolating the front master cylinder from rear master cylinder. System now closed loop.
STAGE 3 Above 50 psi the remote bias adjuster position controls front to rear line PSI.
Cross Section of Bias Valve Shown in Closed Position. Front and rear calipers are now operating independently.
Linking Front and Rear M/Cs:
Open Stage 1 allows unused brake fluid volume of the rear master to fill the larger front calipers.
Eliminate wasted pedal travel for normal brake input as well as long pedal travel resulting from excessive piston knock back resulting in driver safety and confidence on corner entry.
Surprising find during testing: Front to rear line pressure spike is very inconsistent with traditional balance bar set ups. We recorded _ second delays of front to rear PSI input from the M/Cs
Balance Bar at Master Cylinders:
No need to pre-set / or stagger the M/C balance bar to compensate for front to rear fluid volume requirements. In a perfect world the balance bar is square to the firewall at full driver input. It never happens the result is a brake bias that is consistently inconsistent.
QTM Bias Valve and Bias Lever complement each other to fix the above with the goal to give drivers and teams a simple solution to inconsistent braking.
STAGE 1 0 - 49 psi - System is open loop. Fluid flows evenly from both master cylinders to all calipers.
Balance Bar & M/C push rods are locked Square with Hi-Heat Urethane bushings.
STAGE 2
50 psi Pressure-sensitive valve closes, isolating the front master cylinder from rear master cylinder. System now closed loop
Balance Bar is still locked Square.
STAGE 3
Above 50 psi the QTM Bias Lever adjuster position controls front to rear line PSI.
Balance Bar can favor front to rear bias as driver pedal input will override the Urethane bushings.
